I've been a huge fan of rvskin since I first converted to cpanel, but there are two things that I have always wanted to see.
1. I would love to see the login and logout pages replaced with ones that compliment rvskin (it could be fixed to one rvskin theme - like rvblue - set by the root or reseller). I know the pages are replaceable, it would be great if rvskin came up with the html and users could even install it themelves with a simple set of instructions.
2. Why can the email interface also not be themed. Even if this was also fixed to a single them, a simble look that matched rvskin would be much more impressive than the awful x mail interface. As one final suggestion in this, it would be great to further extend a mail interface to allow either a user or root/reseller to automatically forward the user to one of the mail systems instead of even stopping at the mail interface.
This would be the ultimate completion of RVSkin. Thoughts?

That would be my dream too.
For the first request, it is possible for the server-wide login and logout page.
For the second request, it is limited by cPanel itself. The only way to do that is edit the webmaild. You need to request it to cPanel feature request.

pairote,
It would be great if you could bring the concept of a unified login / logout screen to life. That would bring rvskin one step closer to beings a true complete solution.

pairote,
I was looking at the mail management interface, and though the idea of automatically sending a person to a webmail interface doesn't seem possible, theming the mail management interface does.
/usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/WebMail.pm defines the theme for the interface, specifically these lines:
if (! -e "/usr/local/cpanel/base/webmail/$Cpanel::CPDATA{RS}") {
$Cpanel::CPDATA{RS} = 'x';
}
So it would seem possible to have a rvskin theme for the mail interface, and have it controllable through whm, just like regular rvskins.

For webmaild, It allow changing only images. But you cannot put script into it. I tried it before. We have to be careful about this. Whatever put into cPanel server should not break cPanel. We can modify that script for our own use but I have to immune the file to protect the update from cPanel.

I looked into it some more, and it would seem that you could at least extend each of the themes to webmail, by either placing a symbolic link in the base/webmail folder to each of the rv themes and adding header.html and footer.html to each theme or by adding a folder with both files and all necessary css and images to the base/webmail folder. Making it close to the rv themes would greatly improve the entire system.
Adding the webmail themes and modifying the cpanel/webmail login and logout pages would really make rvskin even better.
Michael
PM me if you would like to talk more in depth about any of this.
