error msg in maillog |

Hi Pairote,
I got you to install your server wide spam assassin on my server, and it works great, but when I tail -f /var/log/maillog, I get the error message: Oct 13 02:26:27 server3 spamd[2415]: mkdir /root/.spamassassin: Permission denied at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7/Mail/SpamAssassin.pm line 1467 Oct 13 02:26:27 server3 spamd[2415]: locker: safe_lock: cannot create tmp lockfile /root/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock.server3.capitalhost ing3.com.2415 for /root/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock: Permission denied Oct 13 02:26:27 server3 spamd[2415]: auto-whitelist: open of auto-whitelist file failed: locker: safe_lock: cannot create tmp lockfile /root/. spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock.server3.myhost.com.2415 for /root/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock: Permission denied Oct 13 02:26:27 server3 spamd[2415]: Can't call method "finish" on an undefined value at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7/Mail/SpamAssassin/Plug in/AWL.pm line 397. Its obviously a permission problem. Can you tell me how to fix it? Thanks Ivan |

That error comes from the checksrvd that try to check spamd whether it is running. The errors pop up since SA v3.10. Nothing to worry about it. You may report it to cPanel bugzilla.
