Hi,
I would like to know how to add meta tags to my website to use google webmaster tool. They ask me to copy
<meta name="google-site-verification" content="something" />
in the header section, before body. I figured out it was in section 6 but I don't know what to paste where...I alway get a weird code which is not what I what. Please tell me what to paste where.
Thanks,
Bob Robert

It is on step6. First create the meta name 'google-site-verification' by clicking the add meta tag button. It will show you the example of the data you need to enter. Then you can add the value for it. You also need to republish the web site after finish.

I have tried numerous times to sort this out as well, did you have any luck? I have copied the meta tag from google and placed it almost everywhere I could see (at different times) at step 6 and just can not get google to verify my web site. Is there a specific place that it needs to go into?

Have you republished the web site?
Please attach me the screenshot of Step6 meta tag if you still have the problem.

I'm having the same problem. I'm trying to verify a site that is linked to my main website. It's not saving the meta information that I'm putting in.
