In japanese, mails are always sent using ISO-2022-JP(aka JIS) encoding, and EUC-JP and Shift_JIS are never used. EUC-JP and Shift_JIS encodings are used for websites only. Is it possible to create/edit autoresponse mails with the JIS encoding? Currently, I need to disable this feature for users and have autores mails witten with JIS uploaded manually.

X3 you cannot do that. But under RVSkin we try to set the correct encoding on the autoresponder page. We thought Shift_JIS is the correct one. If it is not correct, we can reset the default. The currennt Japanese Web Page Encoding is Shift_JIS, if users create auto responder in Shift_JIS, but we encode the email in ISO-2022-JP. Do any problem occur? If yes, we can reset it right away. If not, can web page open in ISO-2022-JP?

ISO-2022-JP is almost never used for websites, but about 99% of mail in japanese are ISO-2022-JP. Shift_JIS isnt used much for websites either. I can say that 70% of japanese websites are in EUC_JP, 15% Shift_JIS, and other 15% UTF8 and other encodings.

Is it possible to edit autoresponders under EUC_JP, and then convert it to ISO-2022-JP after it is saved? And, then when editing, the autoresponders are converted to EUC_JP from ISO-2022-JP?

The encoding for Japanese is Shift_JIS. We will not change it.

How about edit autoresponders under Shift_JIS, and then convert it to ISO-2022-JP after it is saved? Is it ok? In theory, it is possible. But I am not sure it will have any problem under cPanel. We need to call iconv function under cPanel environment. I will need to test it before confirm you for this.

Does that mean it will not work when using EUC_JP encoding (japanese-euc-jp)? I am using my custom EUC_JP lang files under rvyrlang.
I can sure help with the test using Shift_JIS, though.
