Thanks Pairote for adding this much needed functionality.

Referring to the previous thread in regards to RoundCube:

Besides installing the Roundcube webmail client manually and setting up the integration via RvSkin, there is nothing else needed?

That's it. In additional, you can enable/disable it in Feature Manager (in RVSkin Manager) or Webmail Manager in cPanel interface (for end-user).

There is a nice install write up by HostGeekz for cPanel installation. Just wondering if we should go this route or do we install via Roundcube' wiki installation instructions?

Perhaps you could create a nice little article on this and add it to your FAQ??

You can follow instruction at hostgeekz.com. While installing please think as if you install for X skin. Don't install HGpatch-roundcube-NON-X-0.1-rc1 which for third -party cPanel skins. Then go to RVSkin Manager/Integration/Webmail integration. Create new addon webmail here. In the integration page use 'build in'. And enter /roundcube as the uri. RVSkin will recognize it and you can use it in /cpanel, /webmail, all feature managers including webmail manager.

Thanks for the feedback Pairote. I feel confident now installing it (even though it is a test server). Will report if any issues arise.

I successfully installed rc2 just fine. For those installing it for the first time, some things to watch out for:

Pairote's message says to install as if doing it for x theme. He warns against using a particular patch. The patch he doesn't want us to use has the word "NON" in the middle of it. But, please _do_ use the regular patch mentioned for the regular x theme. (Parts of it will fail...that's OK. Other parts specific to roundcube's files still need the patching.)

Pay attentntion to the line you edit in db.inc.php. It _is_ different than what's already in the file. Easiest is to zap the old line (CTRL-K in nano deletes the line your cursor is on), and copy->paste the line from the tutorial into the file, and edit the password.

When doing the RVSkin integration, Pairote says to use "build in, internal uri". Those are two different options on this page. What worked for me is to use build in, and then put roundcube/ (including the trailing slash) into cPanel build-in URI textbox.

With those gotcha's in mind, it should be a piece of cake for you.

Hi,
I have been working with RoundCube since 2006, it was really nice integrated with RVSkin without any issue until today.

I did the upgrade of RVSkin to 8.20 and now RoundCube does not shows up in webmail, it only shows Horde and Squirrel, what do I need to tweak in order for RoundCube to show up again?
We do custom RVSB templates, examples at:

It has been a great feature.

Thanks Pairote!
