Hi

I have setup spamReport.pl as provided here http://forums.rvskin.com/index.php?showtopic=1308

And it runs ok on the command line but with this error ...

perl /var/log/spamReport.pl

Unsuccessful stat on filename containing newline at /var/log/spamReport.pl line 120.


I've changed all references of eximstats to /usr/sbin/eximstats in the file


I'm having trouble getting crontab to email me with this job

I used crontab -e to get it into the cron

0 4 * * * perl /var/log/spamReport.pl

But it never emails me. However I get emails of all my other crontabs

PS I redirected the output to a file to make sure the cron was running ok, and it is, just no emails.

Still didn't fix my error, but I got emails working by setting up a crontab like this

32 22 * * * perl /var/log/spamReport.pl | mail -s "Spam Report" email@youremailaddress.com
