Would it be possible to make it so the users can enable/disable news being displayed in control panel? Like a added "X" near the right top corner.

Also another box option added for first time users, when a user logs into the account for the first time, it should display a box with a little getting started guide and the box will keep displaying until the User selects not to display it anymore, a link at the top "Do not show this box any more".

Something like that would be very nice

I would not like to give the client the option as we have very important news sometimes that has to do with their accounts. This is just one place we let our clients know. If they where able to disable it they may not get important information and then say well I was not notified.

The box is a good idea.

Clicked on RvSkin Manager but seemed to have updated correctly as it is showing v7.00

Is there a settings for this? I do not wish to force users to confirm.

You can do it by creating the news first, and then on the news list there is history button. Click on it, you will be able to mark all users as read.

On latest version, there is an option to skip full page news while adding news in RVSkin Manager.
